Instagram is constantly upgrading, adding more Instagram features to make it easier for people to stay connected with one another everyday.

However, with all the new updates, like Instagram Reels and Instagram Guides, it can be hard to keep up with every new change. That’s why they are adding new Instagram features that can make your experience more personalized for your convenience.

Here are a few Instagram features and hacks that you might have missed:

1. Organize your saved collection

Have you ever wanted to show a friend a funny video in your Saved area only to be unable to find it amidst your countless other saved posts? There’s an Instagram feature for that!

You can create different “collections” in your Saved area so that all of your saved content doesn’t go into the default “All Posts” folder.

Simply click on the + in the upper right-hand corner of your Saved area to create and name a new folder. You can select photos you have already saved that apply to that category, and then click done to see your new folder.

With this Instagram feature, you can quickly find the tear-jerking proposal video, the recipe for decadent chocolate cake, or the hilarious meme without scrolling through hundreds of posts.

2. Pin positive comments

Every so often someone will make a comment on your post that is so funny or so sweet that you wish everyone could see it.

Instagram’s pin feature can help you prevent these comments from being buried with the rest. When you see a comment that you want to highlight, swipe left on the comment and click on the pushpin icon.

This will pin the comment to the top of your post so that everyone can see it, and it will send a notification to the person who left the comment so that they know just how much you appreciate their words.

3. See posts you’ve liked

Have you ever wanted to go back to a post you liked only to realize that you forget to add it to your Saved area?

Have you ever tried to unlike an old post from some person or business, but you don’t want to scroll through all their posts to find the one you liked?

Instagram has your back! You can see all of the posts you’ve liked in one convenient location by following a few simple steps.

All you need to do is go to your profile, click on settings, select account, and then click on “Posts You’ve Liked.” From here, you will be able to see all the posts you’ve liked, and you will be able to unlike any posts that you previously liked as well.

4. Show up in “Explore”

If you want to expand your reach, the Explore tab is one of the Instagram features you can use.

You can help your business show up on this tab by using hashtags of popular (and relevant) Explore topics in your Instagram name and your Instagram bio in addition to your posts.

5. Ignore posts from certain accounts

Just because you love your grandmother to pieces, doesn’t mean you always want to see her Instagram stories about her trek to check the mail each day.

You can use Instagram’s mute feature to hide her stories without unfollowing her account. This works for anyone you want to see less from on Instagram.

Just click on the account you want to mute, press the “Following” button, and click mute. From here you can decide whether you want to mute their posts, their stories, or both.

The best part- accounts you mute won’t receive a notification, so you can mute their posts or stories without hurting anyone’s feelings!

6. Create comment shortcuts

Do you tend to answer the same questions from your audience over and over on your business account?

Create shortcuts that will auto-populate a specific comment response that you find yourself typing frequently.

In order to do this, you need to go to your profile and click on settings, business, and saved replies. From here you can create a new saved reply with a short phrase to act as your shortcut and your full response in the message section. Once you click save, you will be able to use this shortcut to quickly respond to your audience.
